SRK detained at Mumbai airport

The fresh news making rounds is that Bollywood king Shahrukh Khan was detained at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai for moving with overloaded baggage. As it has been suggested, Shahrukh had landed in Mumbai on Thursday after spending his vacation with family in London and Holland and he was in detention at the airport for carrying nearly twenty bags without paying the custom duty for them.

While King Khan was taken into custody for investigation, his family was permitted to go back home. Discussing about the incident that happened, a source stated that SRK had gone on a family holiday to Holland and London. When he was returning back he was carrying with him about twenty bags. Thus, the customs officials at airport investigated him. As a result, Shahrukh Khan was asked for a fine of Rs. 1.5 lakhs for the overloaded baggage he was carrying with him and was released from detainment only after paying the fine.

Customs commissioner, P M Govande told that he was interrogated but it is a regular thing. Whenever people bring belongings they have to pay duty on it. It was nearly R 1.5 lakh and the interrogation took time because he was carrying a lot of stuff with him. As heard when SRK was taken into custody, the custom officials treated him like any other common passenger and not like a Bollywood actor. Shahrukh didn’t went through any special treatment from the officials at the airport and was not even allowed to make phone calls for help. The superstar is gonna pair up with Kareena Kapoor in a upcoming sci-fi film Ra. One.
